Duram Superprime 711 is a polyurethane-based bonding agent and adhesion promoter specially formulated for use over PVC, fibre-glass, and various synthetic composite boards.
Sizes: 4 Litres, 15 Litres
Duram Superprime serves as a primer and adhesion promoter for various Duram coatings, including Duram Virotuff, Duram ViroCoat, Duram Rocktuff, and Duram membranes, when applied onto PVC, fibre-glass, and various composite boards. It can also be used to bond water-based membranes over polyurethane-based membranes.
This product is also effective as a bonding agent for adhering water-based membranes over Duram polyurethane membranes.
Benefits and Advantages:
Fast drying – approximately 30 minutes.
Contains special etching compounds for enhanced bonding.
Polyurethane-based, providing reliable adhesion.
Duram Superprime is typically applied by brush or roller, but it can also be sprayed using low-pressure spray equipment. Apply a single, continuous coat at a rate of 5m² to 10m² per litre, depending on the substrate's type, porosity, hardness, and affinity to the product. Allow the primer to gel and set before top coating. For the best results, apply the top coat soon after the primer has properly set with some minor residual tack.
The average coverage rate may vary based on the surface's type, condition, porosity, texture, and application technique. The approximate coverage is 5m² to 10m² per litre per coat. Refer to the 'Application' section above for more details.
Drying and Curing:
Drying and curing times depend on the surface's type, dryness, porosity, temperature, humidity, ventilation, climate conditions, and application technique. As a guide, expect approximately 30 to 60 minutes for drying.
Store Duram Superprime in opened containers in a cool, dry area away from heat and sources of ignition. Be cautious of water ingress, as the product reacts and cures upon contact with water, leading to a buildup of pressure inside the container.
