Gripset C-Plug - Rapid Setting Waterproof Sealant

Gripset C-Plug is a rapid-setting, non-shrink, cement-based compound designed to provide an instant waterproof seal against active water leaks under pressure. It's ideal for quickly addressing leaks in holes, cracks, and similar openings in concrete and masonry surfaces.

Uses & Applications

• Sealing active water leaks in:
  • Water tanks and retention structures
  • Basements, cellars, and underground car parks
  • Lift shafts and pits
  • Concrete pipes
  • Tunnels, power stations, and sewer systems
• Joint filling between concrete segments (pipes, culverts, tunnels, mines, etc.)
• Creating waterproof fillets at wall/floor junctions (in conjunction with Gripset C-1P)
• Rapidly anchoring bolts, fixtures, conduits, pipes, and sanitary equipment

Application Guide

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Remove loose material, coatings, contaminants, and residues.
   • Cut or grind cracks, joints, or holes to a minimum width and depth of 20mm (40mm for high-volume leaks).
   • Form square or dovetail edges for optimal results.
   • Leave the surface rough and flush with water.
   • Dampen the area with clean water before applying C-Plug.
2. Mixing:
   • Use water at approximately 20°C for optimal strength development.
   • Mix by hand with a spatula; avoid electric mixers.
   • Mix up to 0.5kg of powder at a time, using about 150ml of water per 1kg of C-Plug.
3. Installation:
   • Press C-Plug into the opening with firm pressure; it will set in 30 seconds to 1 minute.
   • Final setting time is 2-4 minutes.
   • Dampen the cured C-Plug with clean water for 15 minutes.

Limitations

• Not suitable for expansion/movement joints.
• Not for use on non-cementitious surfaces.
• Do not apply over frozen surfaces.

Additional Information

• Can be sanded or ground to match existing surface contours after curing.
• For long-term protection, apply Gripset C-1P membrane over C-Plug.
• Shelf life of 12 months in unopened packaging.
• Available in 4kg and 15kg bags (in pails).
