Everflex Aqua-Ban Under-Tile Class 3 Waterproof Membrane

Everflex Aqua-Ban is a single-component, self-reinforced elastomeric waterproof membrane specifically designed for under-tile applications. It cures to form a durable, odourless, and seamless waterproof membrane tested in accordance with AS 4858:2004 and AS 4654.1, making it suitable for both internal and external use.

Uses:

• Wet areas, shower recesses, bathrooms, laundries, and toilets

• Concrete slabs above and below grade
• Underground tanking and waterproofing

Additional Information:

Limitations:

• Do not use externally if rain is imminent.
• Do not use when temperatures are below 10°C or above 40°C.
• Limited UV resistance (not designed for permanent UV exposure and must be tiled or topped).
• Not suitable for areas subject to negative hydrostatic pressure or rising damp.

Suitable Substrates:

• Concrete (cured for at least 28 days)
• 3:1 sand/cement screed or C-Bed
• Masonry/render (cured for at least 4 days)
• Cement sheeting/underlay/external weatherboard/blue board
• Pre-cast concrete (once release agent is removed)
• Wet area plasterboard/Villaboard
• Timber flooring including structural plywood Type A (PAA JAS-ANZ)
• Brickwork, Hebel (aggregate block)

Application Guide:

1. Prepare all surfaces to be sound, clean, and free of contaminants.
2. Prime surfaces as needed using Everflex SBP, Everflex WBP, or Everflex VBS.
3. Apply the first coat of Everflex Aqua-Ban at 0.75mm wet film thickness.
4. Allow the first coat to dry, then apply a second coat at a right angle to the first.
5. Achieve a minimum dry film thickness of 1mm (internal) or 1.3mm (external).
6. Seal gaps, joints, and internal corners with Adheseal PU or Hi-Flex MS sealant.
