Unobond FC 6kg - Liquid Applied Polyurethane Adhesive

Unobond FC is a high-performance, solvent-free, polyurethane adhesive that cures with humidity to form a strong, structural, and water-resistant bond. Its versatility and ease of use make it suitable for various applications in construction and marine environments.

Uses

• Bonding a wide range of building materials, including wood, plasterboard, particleboard, metal, foam, concrete, brick, masonry, and some plastics.
• Exterior woodwork and marine applications.
• Preventing floor squeaks by filling gaps and voids.

Application Guide

1. Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, dry, even, and free from grease, laitance, loose particles, or other contaminants. Maximum humidity of the substrate should be 30%.
2. Sand and solvent wipe non-ferrous metals.
3. Priming is not usually required, but testing is recommended. Some non-porous surfaces may need Primer 50A.
4. Apply a film of adhesive using a glue spreader, roller, or spray applicator at a rate of 7.5m2 - 10m2 per litre, ensuring enough adhesive to contact both surfaces when pressed together.
5. Immediately bring substrates together and clamp, nail, or screw to apply even pressure for about 1.5 hours.
6. Maintain contact between surfaces during curing.

Limitations

• Reduced strength when used as a gap filler.
• Requires pressure during curing to achieve maximum strength.

Remarks

• Unobond FC slightly expands during curing, filling irregularities in the substrate.
• For flooring applications, follow the flooring manufacturer's specifications.
