Multi-Grip Construction Adhesive 600ml

Adheseal Multi-Grip is specifically formulated as a high initial grab acrylic adhesive designed for bonding timber, plasterboard, metal, concrete F.C. Sheeting, and most other common construction materials where instant grab is required. This adhesive provides a strong bond and allows some degree of flexibility for movement, particularly in sub-floor and wall systems.

Multi-Grip excels as a cornice and moulding adhesive. It is particularly suitable for attaching most types of timber to studs and joists. Multi-Grip can also be utilized to eliminate floor squeaks by applying it to the groove of one sheet before positioning the next sheet. Additionally, it can be used in subfloor construction to prevent warping and squeaks as the timber dries.

As an excellent adhesive for the installation of wall sheeting, internal and external moldings, Multi-Grip can also bond polystyrene foam components. It adheres to damp surfaces but should not be used on surfaces saturated with water.

Application

1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dirt.
2. Sand any warped or twisted timber to attain flush surfaces.
3. Apply a 6-10mm bead of adhesive to floor joists or wall studs. Where panels butt, apply two beads approximately 25mm apart. Lay the sheets into position with the least movement possible over the wet adhesive. When installing T&G flooring, applying adhesive to the groove before placement will improve the rigidity of the tongue and groove. Fasten the panel as per the fixing instructions of the flooring manufacturer. A 6 mm bead will cover approximately 9 lineal meters.
4. Wipe off excess adhesive squeezed out between sheets before it cures.
5. Clean up tools and equipment with water before the adhesive cures.
