Bostik N40 Primer

Bostik N40 Primer is a clear, solvent-based primer/cleaner specifically designed to enhance the adhesion of polyurethane sealants, acrylic sealants, and waterproof membrane systems to non-porous substrates. Its fast-drying formula and ease of use make it a valuable tool for construction professionals and those working with metals and rigid plastics.

Uses

• Priming non-porous substrates like rigid plastics (ABS, uPVC) and metals (brass, bronze, copper, aluminium, steel, etc.) before applying sealants or membranes.
• Specifically recommended for use with Bostik Seal 'N' Flex 1, Seal 'N' Flex FC, Construction PU, Fireban One, and Matrix FC polyurethane sealants.
• Suitable for various applications, including construction, automotive, and industrial projects.

Application Guide

1. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from contaminants.
2. Dampen a clean cloth with Bostik N40 Primer and wipe the surface.
3. Immediately use a second clean cloth to remove any primer residue.
4. Allow the surface to dry for at least 5 minutes before applying sealant/adhesive or membrane.
5. Apply sealant/adhesive or membrane within 4 hours of priming.

Limitations

• Use only on recommended non-porous substrates (see primer selection table).
• Do not dilute or mix with other solvents or primers.
• Ensure the surface is free of water and condensation before applying sealant/adhesive or membrane.
• Re-prime if the surface is exposed to rain, dust, or other contaminants after application.
