S100 Designer Silicone

S100 Designer Silicone is a neutral-curing, anti-fungal silicone sealant designed for sanitary applications in bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, and food preparation areas. It offers excellent adhesion to common building materials and is UV and colour stable, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Application Guide

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. Use MEK, alcohol, or ethanol to degrease if necessary.
2. Priming (Optional): Primer is generally not required, but adhesion testing is recommended. If needed, use an appropriate primer.
3. Backer Rod (Optional): Use Adhefoam open-cell or closed-cell backer rod where required. For joints without backer rod, use bond breaker tape to prevent three-sided adhesion.
4. Application: Fill the joint completely, avoiding air entrapment. Dry tool immediately before the sealant skins (within 10 minutes, depending on conditions).
5. Cleaning: Clean uncured material with white spirit or solvent. Clean tools with white spirit or solvent. Clean surfaces with silicone cleaner. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Limitations

• Adhesion testing is highly recommended for optimal performance.
