Benefits

  • Highly flexible for accommodating joint movement
  • Fast curing for reduced downtime
  • Paintable for a seamless finish
  • Tear resistant for long-lasting performance
  • Excellent adhesion to various building materials for a reliable seal
  • Anti-fungal properties for resistance to mould and mildew growth

Application Guide

  1. Prepare the joint by ensuring substrates are sound, clean, and free of contamination. If necessary, clean with Adheseal cleaning solvent.
  2. Priming is not usually required, but adhesion testing is recommended for uncertain surfaces. If priming is needed, use the appropriate primer and let it dry (priming floor joints is highly recommended).
  3. Use Adhefoam open cell backer rod where needed. Closed cell backer rod can also be used, but avoid damaging the outer skin to prevent gas bubbles in the sealant.
  4. If the joint is too shallow for backer rod, use bond breaker tape to prevent three-sided adhesion.
  5. Fill the prepared joint completely, avoiding air entrapment. Tool immediately before the sealant skins. Tooling time is at least 10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.

Great Product!

Have used similar polyurethane bases sealants before with varying results. PU25 is consistently high standard and provides excellent adhesion and flexibility. Dries pretty quick and the low VOC makes it perfect for confined spaces.
